HPE Aruba Networking CX Network Analytics Engine (NAE)

HPE Aruba Networking CX 8360 v2 Switch Series utilizes the HPE Aruba Networking CX Network Analytics Engine (NAE) for advanced telemetry and automation to provide industry-first monitoring and troubleshooting systems that greatly improves network operations.
The time series database (TSDB) is used to store configuration and operational state to write software modules to troubleshoot problems. This data may also be used to analyze trends, identify anomalies, and predict future capacity requirements.

High availability and resiliency

Software processes in the HPE Aruba Networking CX 8360 v2 Switch Series run as microservices that communicate through the state database of the switch.
HPE Aruba Networking Virtual Switching Extension (VSX) provides a robust solution for high availability with a unique design for control plane synchronization and an architecture that is redundant in both hardware and software by deploying two chassis with an inter-switch link.

Software-defined automation

The HPE Aruba Networking CX 8360 v2 Switch Series is supported by HPE Aruba Networking Fabric Composer, a software-defined orchestration solution that simplifies and accelerates leaf-spine network provisioning and day-to-day operations across rack-scale compute and storage infrastructure.
It orchestrates a discrete set of switches as a single networking fabric to simplify operations and troubleshooting. This infrastructure and application-aware solution also automates various configuration and lifecycle events.

The HPE Aruba Networking CX 8360 v2 Switch Series is designed for next-generation core and aggregation layer of campuses, as well as virtual and highly dynamic data center environments. The switch series provides up to 4.8 Tbps switching capacity, with line-rate Gigabit Ethernet interfaces including support for HPE Smart Rate (1/2.5/5 Gbps), 10 Gbps, 25 Gbps, 40 Gbps, 50 Gbps, and 100 Gbps connectivity in a compact 1U form factor. These switches deliver a fantastic investment for customers wanting to migrate from older 1/10GbE to faster 25GbE, or from 10/40GbE uplinks to 50/100GbE ports. In addition, the 48 and 32 x 25G port CX 8360 models support low-density MACsec ports and enable secured connectivity at 10GbE and 25GbE over unsecured domains. MACsec is also supported on 2 high-speed 40/100G ports on the CX 8360 48-port model.
